Why BIS

VALUE EDUCATION

BIS focus on providing a strong value based education to the children which will encourage them to be morally aware. It has been the trend over many generations that teachers pass values to the students, both consciously and unconsciously, through their conduct both in and out of the classroom. Consequently, the need for a carefully planned value based educational programme is needed to support formal, knowledge based learning. As a provider of value education BIS aim at the development of following types of values:

  •  Large heartedness
  • Cooperation
  • Tolerance
  • Respect for the culture of other groups

HUMAN VALUES

We feel that, as privileged educators of the future generations that we have an obligation to educate our pupils in the following human values.

  • Respect towards others
  • Cooperation
  • Empathy
  • Compassion
  • Honesty
  • Integrity

JOURNEY FROM I TO WE

At BIS we do not view education as simply a transition of a child from one class to the next class, but as a journey from I to WE.

Our children learn the sharing of ideas, how to work in and as group, how to get to know about the likes and dislikes of each other, to develop a strong sense of empathy. We describe it as a transformation of a child from I to WE.

LEAD BY EXAMPLE

Children at BIS lead by example, which, in turn, is guided by the teachers showing examples of how to:
